"Meditation has helped me to learn to be patient. My mind feels
calm and clear. I just feel more relaxed and have learnt to 'let go'."

Ben, from Australia |
"Words are insufficient to express how much the past 21 days have
meant to me. I embarked on my travels 8 months ago in the hope of finding
my 'meaning of life'; and although I've seen some amazing places and met
some wonderful people, it brought me no closer to an understanding. This
time at Doi Suthep, however, has had a profound effect."

a warm and inviting setting to learn meditation in. I would highly recommend
this to anyone. Thank you for helping me find the way."

"This time spent in meditation has enabled me to come alive in a
way I never knew before or expected could be."

"I learned so much about me and about life and I only want to
say THANK YOU to all of you for this incredible experience! I see very
clearly that most of us are living a dissatisfying life and this is
what I want to change! I want to live in the moment, I only want to be,
I want to learn about life I want to flow with life, I want to open my
mind like the three weeks in Doi Suthep."

"I'd like to thank and extend my full appreciation to all of the
personnel at this meditation center. I couldn't have asked
to be
treated as warmly as I was. Thank you all for your acceptance, generosity
and kindness. I wish you all much peace and happiness."

John, from Canada |
"I had thought I knew what happiness was already, before coming
to Doi Suthep, but I was wrong.
Through mindfulness and insight into impermanence, all suffering and
hardship can be overcome. How wonderful! How simple and profound, yet
how difficult to realise without encountering one who already has realised!
I'm very grateful to have learned patience and respect and how to see
reality closely. This would only have been possible in a place as peaceful
and holy as Doi Suthep, of which there are few in the world."

"Thank you for opening my eyes and letting me learn how to see clearly.
I know now that there is anther way to live and life, and I hope I can
live this way from now on. Words fail to express my full feelings about
my time here. I can only say now that I have learned some valuable lessons,
and gained insight into myself and the world around me.
For the patience, support and peace I found here, thank you."

"The Meditation and Buddhism taught here teaches you about life at its
absolute value - it is a study that will benefit anyone at any stage of
their lives. If there is one thing in the world that I recommend, it is
to learn about self (or non-self!). Vipassana is a path that will
lead to fruitful and life-changing experiences.
Moreover, it is comforting to study in an environment which is serious
and has incredible food."

Boaz, from Switzerland |
"How to be mindful, what is insight, how a good man can
become a better one? Thanks to Vipassana Meditation Center I know all
these answers.
I love Doi Suthep! I love Thailand!"

"When I arrived at Doi Suthep, I was very unsure I wanted to be
here. I doubted how much insight I would truly gain, and how valuable
an experience this could be with my precious little travel time in Thailand.
After completing the course, my doubts are gone. This was the best thing
I could have done with my time, and I'm still considering coming back
quickly for the advanced course. If Vipassana literally means to see clearly
the course here is true to its name. I have insights now, seemingly obvious,
that I could only understand intellectually before. I know myself more;
and I understand better what I do and don't have control over. What a
lovely experience.
Thank you, everyone, for making my time here as comfortable and enlightening
as possible. The food was fabulous, the teachings were insightful, the
accommodations clean. Everyone offered so much love and help. I am grateful. "

"I think Vipassana is the best natural medicine, from where we can
get benefits using our own efforts. It's like a secret that has to be
revealed to everyone! I've been here for 28 days now and I'm about to
leave
I can say that for the first time in this life
within
this period of insight meditation I've learned how to breathe and so manage
to feel what this body is inside as well
as soon as I get detached
it's a real relief from sorrows and mental pain. This is only the beginning
for me and my life; it's now based on this practice."

Jessica, from Italy |
"I thank you for saving my life
I thank you for showing me
this way, for releasing me from this prison
I have seen a different side to life which I will take with me where
I go and share this gift you have given me.
I will see you again in the
future for the Advanced Review Course, I hope."

"I always knew that life is suffering, but what I didn't think of
was the fact that all my sorrows (that mostly came from attachments) and
depression is temporary, just like happiness and joy. I've also learned
that there is a way out of this, and I hope it gets even more clear when
I go back to the 'outside' world.
I will use my new-born wisdom in everyday life.
You might have saved my life. Thank you!"

Sanna, from Sweden |
"Thank you so much for your patience and time. I learned to stop and
observe my thoughts and emotions without getting tangled up with them. Found
a truth I didn't know existed, an appreciation of my own company.
Things that I'm sure will influence me in the future. It's amazing thing you
have here, I'm happy to have been a part of it."

"In 21 days at Wat Doi Suthep I learned how to develop concentration
in my meditation practice and to be mindful in my everyday activities
of the body, feelings, mind and Dhamma. This has resulted in personal
insight that I will carry with me and continue to develop for the rest
of my life. The teachings here don't stop when the retreat has ended.
The Dhamma becomes part of living, giving one the tools to be 'a
refuge unto yourself'.
The experience was amazing and life-changing.
I go with a cool, clear and open heart."
