     The International Buddhism Center at Wat Phradhatu Doi Suthep was established with the purpose of supporting world peace, our society is in a period of rapid change and faces many problems. There is a growing interest in Buddhism from people all over the world.
     The Buddha's teachings address many of the issues and problems we face in our daily lives and offer guidelines for living a life that maximizes happiness and minimizes suffering.


General facilities in the IBC office at Doi Suthep
(open daily 09:00 - 17:00) include:

1. Information on Buddhism and Meditation
2. Library Resources in Thai, English etc.
3. Monk Chat daily 12:30 - 14:30
4. Group Meditation Instruction
   (minimum 5 persons, book in advance)
5. Day of Meditation Practice 09:00 - 16:00
   (including lunch, book in advance)  

 

     Wat Phradhatu Doi Suthep is a famous temple and a popular tourist destination. Many of the visitors are interested in Buddhism, the Buddha's Dhamma and the religious and cultural traditions of the Thai way of life.
     For these reasons, Venerable Phrathep  Varasiddhajaan (Chiang Mai Province), Disseminating Sangha Vice President and Chairman Of The Project Committee, decided to establish the International Buddhism Center, to spread the Dhamma of the Buddha for the benefit of  world society and the cooperation of Buddhist groups working together. It offers information on Buddhism and Meditation Courses for those who are interested .
